Making a Bequest or Other Planned Gift

  • You can Make a Difference through your Estate

Including St. Elizabeth’s in your estate plan is a meaningful way to extend your support for the parish beyond your lifetime. It allows you to leave a lasting legacy that helps sustain our ministries and community for generations to come. Your gift may be directed toward a specific purpose if you wish, and depending on its size, it can be used to establish a fund named in your honor or in memory of someone special. Through this thoughtful act, your values and faith continue to make a difference well into the future.

  • Bequests, Wills, and Designated Beneficiaries

The simplest way to make a planned gift is by naming the parish in your will. A bequest is a meaningful way to support our work without affecting your cash flow during your lifetime. Your attorney can include it when you prepare or revise your will or you can add a codicil at any time.

Another easy option is to name St. Elizabeth’s as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, health savings plan, or other account that requires a beneficiary. This can often be done by accessing your account online.

  • Charitable Remainder Trusts, Pooled Income Funds, and other Options

The Episcopal Church Foundation’s website is a wonderful resource to learn more about options for supporting our parish through estate planning. If you have any questions about designating a planned gift and/or naming opportunities, please contact Father John.

You can also download ECF’s general brochure on different types of planned gifts for more information.
