A Candlelit Service of Stillness and Song
Celtic Vespers at St. Elizabeth’s
An Evening of Reflection, Renewal, and Quiet Connection
On the fourth Sunday of most months, St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Dahlonega invites everyone - parishioners, local residents, college students, retirees, and visitors to North Georgia - to a 40-minute Celtic Worship Service. This casual and contemplative service includes live music rooted in Celtic and traditional Appalachian styles, Psalm readings, the meditative lighting of candles, a brief reflection, and warm hospitality following the service.
Weather permitting, we gather in the garden behind the church; otherwise, the service moves indoors, where the space is softly lit with candles to maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
Services are held at 7:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month, with an additional gathering in December.
Enjoy two pieces by the Celtic musicians who perform live at our service.
